How You Can HelpThe dual roles of research carried out in the Research Laboratory and clinical services provided by the Hospital are essential for the maintenance of the high standard of patient care that these sick children need. Only in this way is it possible to apply new discoveries from research to the continual upgrading of leukaemia and cancer treatment. The Foundation relies on the generous support of the West Australian community to continue this research, as we do not receive State or Federal funding. There are many ways in which you can support our vital research into childhood cancers, you can:
We Will Remember You - BequestThere's a very special way for you to help children who suffer from leukaemia and other cancers, through a gift in your Will that reflects your love and concern for them. By including the Children's Leukaemia & Cancer Research Foundation (Inc) in your Will, your thoughtfulness will enable our important research to continue. Our children are our future. No one likes to see them suffer. Your very special support will help continue the search for vital breakthroughs in the treatment and prevention of childhood cancers. A will is the legal document that ensures your wishes are carried out after your death. Distribution of your assets may provide for family and friends, or specific causes and organisations. Your solicitor will gladly give you advice on making provision for the Foundation in your Will OR you can contact the Public Trustees Office (phone (08) 9222 6777) for assistance. If you intend remembering the Children's Leukaemia & Cancer Research Foundation (Inc) in your Will, we recommend the following legal wording be used: "I give to the Children's Leukaemia & Cancer Research Foundation (Inc) the sum of $.... to assist with research into childhood leukaemia and cancer." Remember - to die without a Will (or intestate) can make it difficult for your family/next of kin to carry out your wishes, even if they are known.
